Vincenzio (Pat) Ciocarrelli served the Police Association with distinction as branch secretary at Albury for 5 years from 1969, Executive member from 1972, trustee and junior vice-president and senior vice-president 1982–84. Pat was a man of vision with a passion for policing and police education. He was attested in 1960 and retired in 1997 with the rank of chief superintendent. In recognition of his contribution to policing he was awarded the National Medal in 1980 and the Australian Police Medal in 1994. He died on 6 December 2005. In November 2009 a memorial at the Police Leadership Centre, Richmond was dedicated in his honour.
