Michael (Mick) Corboy served on the Executive for 9 years from May 1996–January 2005, five of those years as the first commissioned officer elected to the Executive. During his years on the Executive, Mick was involved in a number of campaigns including the appeal rights campaign and was committed to the welfare and support of officers especially those working in the area of child protection. He was attested on 26 June 1981 and is currently the Commander of the Traffic and Highway Patrol with the rank of assistant commissioner. He was also the treasurer of NSW Police Legacy. He was awarded the National Medal in 1997 and the Australian Police Medal in 2008.
