Kenneth (Ken) Ferguson was chairman, secretary and delegate of the Parkes, Hornsby and Brisbane Waters Branches. He attended his first conference in 1965 and was elected to the Executive in 1966. From 1979–1981 he was senior vice-president. A vigorous and competent debater he was chairman of a number of committees including the Rights of Police Committee and was the Association’s representative on the Lusher Inquiry in the early 1980’. He was also an advocate for police widows who experienced difficulties in respect of pensions. Ken was sworn in 27 September 1954 and retired on 6 April 1989 with the rank of superintendent.
