Michael ‘Mick’ Hilder joined the NSW Police Force on 26 June 1981. He served as administrator of The Hills Branch from 1994 to 2001 and was a delegate to three conferences. In January 2001, he was seconded to the Association as an organiser. His consultation and negotiation skills saw him thrive in the role of organiser, firstly for the Western Region and later for the Commissioned Officers Branch. He resigned from the NSWPF on 1 August 2004 to join the Association as a full-time organiser, rising to Assistant Secretary, Organising. Mick has represented members’ interests on several committees relating to police pursuits, uniforms and vehicle standards. He has travelled the state many times over, providing exemplary service to members and their families.
