Jude Maloney was attested in February 1961. In 1967 he became secretary of the Goulburn Branch and 1968 conference delegate for that branch. In 1973 he was elected to the Country Executive. In 1986 he was elected treasurer, the first Country Executive member to be elected to the “top table” a position he filled until 1987. Jude also served as the Police Association’s delegate to the NSW Labor Council and ACTU and was the first police officer to attend the Clyde Cameron College for trade union training. He retired on 9 August 1999 with the rank of detective sergeant.
