Taylor_MaureenThe daughter of a police officer, Maureen joined the Police Association in 1948, aged 16, as a junior clerk rising to chief clerk. Following a restructure in 1979 she was appointed to the newly created position of welfare liaison officer, a role she performed with great competence and compassion.  The second longest serving employee of the Association after Vashti Chapman, Maureen retired in September 1988 after 40 years of exemplary service. She died on 2 April 2006.
