Scott Weber joined the NSW Police Force on 11 November 1994, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He first became active in the Ashfield Branch of the Association in the late 1990s, serving as chairperson, branch administrator and delegate to successive Biennial Conferences from 2000 to 2016. He was elected to the Executive in May 2000 and became vice-president four years later. Scott led the Association from 2010–2018 and is one of our longest serving Presidents. His tenure was marked by greater emphasis on member welfare. He was also an advocate for female activism in the union. In 2013 he took his leadership skills to the national level, serving as treasurer and later vice-president of the Police Federation of Australia (PFA) and chair of the PFA’s Women’s Advisory Council.
