The Hume Local Area Command will receive 58 more police officers if a Labor government is elected at the state election in March.
So said NSW Shadow Minister for Police Guy Zangari MP, when he was in Goulburn on February 28.
In a statement, Mr Zangari said a Daley Labor Government would hire an additional 58 new police officers for the Hume police district and this was part of a commitment to hiring an additional 1500 new officers across NSW over four years.
The additional police officers are part of a $583 million investment that will see the overall number of police in NSW increase to almost 18,300 Officers.
