NSW Police officer injured on duty in Cobar

A country cop is in Sydney receiving treatment for facial injuries after she was allegedly assaulted by a woman armed with a schooner glass in Cobar.

Police allege the 25-year-old woman refused to leave a golf club on Sunday.

When officers attempted to restrain her, she allegedly hit a female constable in the face with the glass.

The woman was charged with behaving offensively, failing to leave a premises when required, wounding a person while intending to resist arrest and hindering a police officer doing their job.

She appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Monday and was denied bail.

Her case returns to court on September 18
