Phillip Donato MP is calling on Government to increase protections for Police

The following notice was given to Parliament on 20 September 2018:


That this House:

  1. Calls on the Government to provide equitable protection for injured police officers by delivering the income protection provided to police officers aged 59 and under, to those police officers aged 60 and over.
  2. Calls on the Government to immediately address the diminishing value of income protection available to injured police officers aged 53 and over.
  3. Calls on the Government to design and deliver an optional disengagement package as a return for service by police officers completing an established tenure, to salvage psychological health and to disengage with dignity, with the appropriate financial support to enable post police career transitioning.
