Our Charity Partner, NSW Police Legacy, care for serving and retired NSW police officers and their families in their time of need. Importantly, they provide support and care for the wives, husbands, partners, parents, and children that are left behind should the worst happen.
Already in 2019 we have lost Constable Tim Proctor, killed in a multiple-vehicle collision, and had several members unwell including Senior Constable Matthew Rees, a young man diagnosed with liver and bowel cancer, and Senior Constable Melissa Kilminster, who has undergone multiple complicated surgeries to be fitted with a prosthetic leg.
NSW Police legacy has been integral in fundraising for these officers and their families.
Each year NSW Police Legacy also host the Blue Ribbon Ball to help raise funds to continue the financial and compassionate support for members and their families in their time of need.
Tickets for the 2019 Blue Ribbon Ball are on sale now at http://2019blueribbonball.gofundraise.com.au/.
The event is a great way to connect with other members of the Blue Family while supporting the Police charity.
“By supporting this event, you are helping young police legatees receive education grants, tertiary scholarships, youth camps and much more, including the many social events we organise throughout the year to encourage a connection to the police family; you are helping our older police legatees remain connected and supported. You are helping the police family.”
