Sydney police officer struck by car

SYDNEY, Sept 6 AAP - A police officer is recovering in hospital after he was struck by a speeding car whose driver refused to pull over in Sydney's southwest.
The senior constable was operating a radar gun at Greenacre on Tuesday night when he clocked the Mazda 3 at 121km/h on Roberts Road.
He attempted to signal the driver to pull over with a stop sign and a torch but the vehicle allegedly sped up to overtake a taxi and struck the officer who suffered injuries to his hands and legs.
