Tell the Minister to Back the Blue

Sign the petition to Minister for Police, Troy Grant, calling on him to deliver the additional police NSW needs.

Dear Minister,
Our police are working harder than ever to keep us safe, but a shortfall in police numbers means they’re being stretched to their limits. NSW desperately needs 2500 extra police in order to keep our community safe. As our Police Minister, I’m calling on you to urgently deliver the additional resources our police need in order to protect us.

Decisions made in the past have left our communities vulnerable. Areas such as child protection, counter-terrorism and domestic violence are now woefully short on police numbers.

Our local commands, including those in regional areas, are also suffering as a result of years of inadequate resourcing. The impact is not only being felt within the police force, but within our communities.

With our state’s population growing at more than 50,000 a year we need to invest in new police just to maintain the sort of protection the people of NSW expect and deserve.

More police on the beat mean less crime on the street. Please, Back the Blue and give NSW the police resources we need to keep our communities safe.

Kind regards,

Thank You
